RMIS 2.0 is the enterprise-grade ERP powering Rotaract District 3220, orchestrating operations for 90+ clubs and 4,000+ active Rotaractors across Sri Lanka and the Maldives. Rebuilt from a fragmented, schema-drifting legacy system into a unified Next.js platform on PostgreSQL, it runs club reporting, treasury governance, district-wide event check-ins, and an automated Citation Scoring Engine - all behind a 3-layer RBAC system built for zero-overhead, enterprise-scale access control.

RMIS 2.0 replaces a fragmented, Firestore-backed legacy system riddled with schema drift and coarse-grained permissions with a unified, enterprise-grade ERP for Rotaract District 3220, orchestrating operations for 90+ clubs and 4,000+ active Rotaractors across Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

RMIS 2.0 is a centralized Enterprise Resource Planning and Management Information System built for Rotaract District 3220 to run district-wide club operations, financial governance, and member administration from a single platform. It manages everything from club project initiation and multi-avenue reporting to treasury dues collection, district-wide event registration with live QR check-ins, DRR/ADRR visit scheduling synced to Google Calendar, and an automated annual Citation Scoring Engine that replaces spreadsheet-based tallying. The core engineering challenge was rebuilding the platform's data and access-control foundations — migrating from a schema-drifting NoSQL store to a relational, type-safe system — without disrupting an already-live user base of thousands.

  • Engineered a 3-layer dynamic RBAC system combining role defaults, named permission sets, and per-member grant/revoke overrides, merged and cached via cryptographic signature-based invalidation to eliminate redundant custom roles across 24+ domain sub-modules.

  • Moved high-frequency report form edits into optimistic Jotai atomic state with debounced, on-blur persistence, cutting database write traffic by over 80% on the platform's heaviest reporting flows.

  • Built a client-side pure-function citation scoring engine that evaluates 50+ criteria across 13 categories in under 5ms, cross-referencing district event participation data to replace manual, spreadsheet-based tallying.

  • Developed a camera-based QR check-in system paired with dynamic badge rendering, enabling sub-second attendance verification at large-scale district assemblies.

  • Replaced publicly exposed file links with S3-compatible MinIO storage issuing time-boxed, presigned upload/download URLs, closing off unaudited public file access entirely.

  • Decoupled transactional email, PDF generation, and notification fan-outs from the request loop using Bull queues on Redis with automated exponential-backoff retries.

I designed the UI/UX across every module myself, prioritizing a dense, utility-first interface for district administrators handling high-volume reporting and treasury workflows, layered with Framer Motion micro-interactions and smooth scroll behavior to keep a genuinely enterprise-scale tool feeling responsive rather than heavy.

RMIS 2.0 was developed using agentic AI workflows under my structured technical direction, with rigorous manual verification given the platform's scale and the sensitivity of its financial and access-control systems.
